Festival Betances Celebrates a Living Boricua Legacy
On July 18, Villa Victoria came together for the 53rd Festival Betances under the theme “Boricua Legacy: Shaping America’s Story.”
In celebration of the United States’ 250th anniversary, we honored the contributions that Puerto Ricans have made to this nation. The festivities brought our community into the streets for a joyful parade, live performances, local vendors, food, family activities, and tours of La CASA. In partnership with Embrace Boston and Everyone250, we also unveiled a new historical marker honoring the significance of Plaza Betances and the Puerto Rican community that built it.
Thank you to every resident, artist, vendor, volunteer, sponsor, and guest who made this year’s celebration unforgettable.
