HOW OUR FINANCIAL EMPOWERMENT TEAM REACHES IBA’S COMMUNITY

The Financial Empowerment Program addresses the needs of Villa Victoria residents by providing a variety of bilingual coaching services, including:

  • How to improve their credit score

  • Budgeting for expected and unexpected expenses

  • SMART goals for the future

  • Banking best practices

But what does this process look like? We have a system in place that makes it easy for our residents to get whatever help they need. Here are the details of that process, including the actions we take as we accompany them each step of the way.

  • A resident can self-refer or be referred by another IBA Program. Once notified, we contact the resident within 24 hours to schedule the first interview. During this interview, we discuss the resident’s goals and strategy. Then we schedule follow-up meetings.

  • Once the strategy is defined, we provide four coaching services. However, even after that, residents can always come back to us if and when they have questions or need assistance with a specific goal.

The final goal of the Financial Empowerment Program is to empower residents to take the reins of their personal finances by maintaining financial stability and stable housing.
