Celebrating Cultural Pride and Growth: IBA’s Early Education Program Honors 2024 Preschool Graduates
Earlier this summer IBA’s Early Education Program (EEP) was filled with joy and pride as parents, families, and our special guest, Marie Joelle Auguste, Boston Universal Pre-K Family Engagement & Comprehensive Services Manager, gathered to honor our students graduating from pre-school! Before stepping into their new lives as kindergartners, our graduates dazzled everyone with a beautiful performance of the traditional Puerto Rican dance, Plena, to the lively tune of "La Plena del Coquí." Through their dance, they showcased their newfound knowledge about Plena and Puerto Rico’s beloved native Coquí, turning our graduation into a vibrant cultural celebration and showcasing their bilingual skills.
IBA’s EEP, is a bilingual (English/Spanish) program serving children 4.5 months to 5.5 years. Our approach goes well beyond testing scores, it focuses on skills development, such as inclusion, adaptability, creativity, critical thinking and independence. Our dedicated teachers and staff nurture each child’s individuality, recognizing these skills to be just as important as the academic skills they need to succeed. All of our students graduate prepared for Kindergarten - they leave ready to read, with strengthened bilingual skills, and with the knowledge that will serve them to become valued members of society.
Parents, guardians and families interested in enrolling their children for fall 2024 are invited to learn more and apply today!
