A Look Back at 2017: IBA's Impact Last Year

For the past 50 years, IBA has been committed to providing affordable housing and opportunities for social and economic empowerment in our community. From arts events to credit counseling, we serve our community members of all ages with the programs we offer every day. Here’s just a quick look at some of the efforts we’ve made over the past year:

Our history makes us who we are, and we’re proud of the work we’ve done. As we celebrate half a century of community development, we’re already looking forward to the next 50 years. Over the next five years, we plan to pursue a number of goals from affordable housing, such as acquiring, rehabilitating and renovating 146 affordable housing units in the South End and developing 40-50 new affordable housing units, to renovating the Villa Victoria Center for the Arts. We plan to increase economic opportunities for the families we serve while also increasing residents’ civic engagement in our community. Last, as a focus on our future, we will continue to support our youth in graduating from high school and pursuing post-secondary education.
